Charles Edgar Bickford Jr.

Charles Edgar Bickford, Jr., age 68, of Keysville, VA passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at home with his family by his side. Charles was born on April 14, 1947 in Pen-Argyl, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, of thirty-three years, Christine Stine Bickford; his parents, Charles and Gladys Bickford; his brother, Wayne Bickford; his children, Holly Burns Philip, Ty Dunbar, Aimee Willis Daniel, Tina Hicks Daniel, Tara Dunbar and Tim Bickford. Charles was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Frey.
Charles served in the United States Navy and was a retired correctional officer. His many hobbies and interests included motorcycle riding, fishing, wood working, gardening, bird watching and the love of spending time with his family and seventeen grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, with interment to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hunter Holmes McGuire Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
