Dorothy Adams Haley

Dorothy Adams Haley, age 93, of Charlotte C. H., VA, daughter of the late Charles and Edna Adams died peacefully and quietly on Thursday, August 11, 2011. She was the wife of the late Clyde H. Haley.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Phenix Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and participated in the Women of the Church Group.
She is survived by the following children Ralph E. Haley Peggy, Robert C. Haley Barbara, Elizabeth H. Foster Keith, Garland Y. Haley June, Linwood F. Haley Carol, Mary H. Tucker Roger, Donald R. Haley. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Edwin W. Haley; two sisters, Margaret A. Springer, Katherine A. Owen; and two grandchildren, Wendy Haley and Eddie Haley.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011, in the Phenix Presbyterian Church, Phenix, VA, with interment to follow in the New Hope Methodist Church cemetery, Randolph, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Friday, August 12, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Phenix Presbyterian Church, 100 Halifax Street, Phenix, VA 23959.
