Faber Blain Jefferson, Jr. of Midlothian, died suddenly on Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was born to the late Faber Blain Jefferson and Ola Mae Bennett in Red House, Virginia on October 11, 1927. He graduated from Randolph Henry High School, class of 1945, and immediately joined the Navy to serve in World War II, and was stationed in Alaska. Upon his return, he earned an Associate Degree at Danville Technical Institute. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Wilson Jefferson; son, Faber Blain Jefferson, III; brothers, Carey Jefferson, Melvin Jefferson; sisters, Hilda Paulette, Edna Smith. Faber is survived by his children, Rebecca J. Durham, and husband, Don of Chapel Hill, NC; Perry, and wife, Elizabeth Lil of Midlothian, VA; Carolyn J. Eppes, and husband, John of Aylett, VA; Hazel J. Snead, and husband, Donnie of Midlothian, VA. His pride and joy, 12 grandchildren, Trey Fricke, and wife, Heather; Ross Durham; Braelyn Jefferson; Douglas Jefferson, and wife, Ashley; Phillip Jefferson, Grace Jefferson, Luke Jefferson; Morgan Eppes, Catherine Eppes Fletcher, and husband, Reggie; Hayden Snead, Olivia Snead, Abigail Snead; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Lauren Fricke. He is also survived by two step children, Karla Parrish, and husband, Milton, and their children, Jessica Layman and husband, David; Lauren Dillon and husband, Travis and their son, Zachary; Keith Miller, and wife, Ann, and their son, Christopher.
Faber was a sales engineer and retired from Automatic Equipment Sales in Richmond, Virginia. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 18 at 11:00 AM in Keysville, Virginia at Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery, 8687 Church Street, Keysville, VA 23947. Browning-Duffer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Red House Cemetery Fund, c/o Chuck May, 6352 Red House Road, Appomattox, VA 24522, or a charity of your choice.
