RAMSEY, Frances Stallings, of Charlotte Court House, died peacefully in her home on Monday, August 22. She was born in Suffolk, Virginia on January 28, 1919. She was predeceased by her father, Moody E. Stallings, Sr.; her mother, Sadie Alphin Andrews; her step-father, Charles D. Andrews; her brother, Moody E. Stallings, Jr.; and her sister, Sarah Andrews Fletcher. She married William B. Ramsey in 1942, who predeceased her in 1994. She is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Andrews McCutcheon, and Mary Jane Andrews Board; two sons, Charles Burdette Ramsey and wife Madeline Hutcheson Ramsey; Terrill Watkins Ramsey and wife Rose Hooper Ramsey; four grandchildren, Wanda Frances Ramsey, Bob Ramsey and wife Meredith, Bill Ramsey, and Quinn Ramsey; and twin great-grandchildren, Emily Ramsey and Parker Ramsey. She graduated from Randolph Macon Woman’s College in 1941. She was an active member of Village Presbyterian Church and a director of Charlotte County Branch of Preservation Virginia. She was a retired English and Latin teacher at Randolph-Henry High School. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville. A memorial service will be held Thursday at Village Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 300, Charlotte C. H., VA 23923, or the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.
