George Vickery Ingram, age 67, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He was born and raised in Mecklenburg County and grew up in the Trottenridge area of Mecklenburg County. His hobbies included outdoor life, working and tinkering with old vehicles, and operating heavy equipment. George was educated in Mecklenburg Public Schools and employed by Key Construction Company, Inc. for thirty-five plus years.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Ingram; a son, Doug Ingram and his wife Lisa; brothers and sisters, John H. Ingram Sue of Richmond, Dorothy Bowden of Michigan, Robert Ingram of Roanoke, Martha Robertson Al of Glen Allen, James Ingram of New Canton, Walter Ingram Doris of Skipwith, Nancy Ingram of Danville, Mary French Eddie of Richmond, Ruth Dean Glen of Charlotte Court House; and numerous nieces and nephews; step-grandchildren, Josh and Libby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore L. & Mamie Vickery Ingram; one brother, Nick Ingram; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Rose Ingram; step daughter, Tonya Tallman.

A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, at Ephesus Methodist Church Cemetery in Skipwith, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
