Herbert Garland Hall, age 81, of Drakes Branch, VA, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Brenda H. Ayers and husband, Rocky, Barbara A. Hall all of Drakes Branch, VA; four grandchildren, Timmy Rutledge and wife, Brittany of Keysville, VA, Elisha Ayers of Charlotte C. H., VA, Jessie Ayers, Ashleigh Nichols of Drakes Branch, VA; two great-grandchildren, Jaythan Rutledge, Skylar Ayers; and six sisters, Mary Sims, Frances Ward, Bertha Rand all of Drakes Branch, VA, Doris Newman of Farmville, VA, Elizabeth Gosik of Highland Springs, VA, and Margaret Martin of Chesterfield, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances W. Hall.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, with interment to follow in the Hall Family Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2012, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
