Irene Clay Newcomb, 88, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Amos and Ann Coates; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four children, Nathan Gail Newcomb, Jean Toone, David Newcomb, and Kitty Newcomb; two grandchildren, Michael Toone and JoAnn Coates.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, with interment to follow in the Saxe Cemetery, Saxe, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
