Margaret Hall Martin

Margaret Hall Martin, 71, of Chesterfield passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016. She was born June 10, 1945, in Charlotte County, daughter of the late Mabel and Ira Hall. Margaret graduated from Randolph-Henry High School. She was a retired Verizon Employee. She is survived by three sisters, Mary Sims and Frances Ward both of Drakes Branch, and Liz Gosik of Chesterfield. Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life, Calvin Viar; her siblings, Clarence Hall, Garland Hall, Jeannie Jones, Bertha Rand, Doris Newman; her mother, Mabel Hall; and her father, Ira Hall. We will miss her warm giving heart, her sense of humor, infectious smile, and famous Christmas fudge.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in the family cemetery, Drakes Branch. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Chesterfield Rescue Squad. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of the arrangements.
