Ann Ramsey Harris

Ann Ramsey Harris, age 85, of Phenix, VA, passed away at her daughter’s home in Cumberland, VA, on Saturday, February 3, 2024.  She was born on June 1, 1938, to the late Tommy Russell and Kathleen Mason Ramsey.  Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Pete” Harris, Jr.; great-grandson, Tex M. Dunaway Jr.; and step-son-in-law, Bud Wilmouth.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda F. Eanes of Cumberland, VA; her son, Sam Wallace (Dawn) of Amelia, VA; one step-daughter, Brenda Wilmouth of Keysville, VA; two step-sons, Walter L. Harris III (Stephanie) of Ford, VA and Danny Harris (Emily) of Prince George, VA; one granddaughter, Tiffany Dunaway of Phenix, VA; one grandson, Russell Eanes of Cumberland, VA; one sister, Barbara Brown of Randolph, VA; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Bethel Baptist Church, Phenix, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.  A reception will follow the service at Bethel Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America or the COPD Foundation.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
