Annie Prince Pyle

Annie Prince Pyle, age 77, of Meherrin, VA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 8, 2022, with her children by her side.

Annie was born in Bailey, NC on May 30, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Thonnie and Grace Prince. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Howard Ernie Pyle, Sr.; a brother Travis Prince; and a son-in-law, Robert “Beaver” Berkeley.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Berkeley of Keysville VA, and Howard Ernie Pyle Jr. (Tammy) of Meherrin, VA; three grandchildren, Howard Ernie Pyle, III “Trey” (Sally) of Meherrin, VA, Alan Berkeley of Farmville, VA, and Jessica Erin Newman (JR) of Meherrin, VA; three great-granddaughters, Harper Pyle, Teagan Pyle, and Paisley Newman all of Meherrin, VA; two step grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.  She is also survived by her sisters, Hattie Morgan of Hampton, VA, Marie Sullivan (Ralph) of Bailey, NC, and Mute Allen (ER) of Burlington NC; two sisters-in-law Shirley Pyle of Poquoson, VA, and Sandra Pyle (Dave) of Suffolk, VA; and a brother-in-law Ronnie Pyle (Susie) of Keysville, VA; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery located at Underwood Road, Meherrin, VA  23954.  Those who desire to make a memorial donation please consider the Meherrin Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
