On Thursday, January 23, 2020, Berkeley Devin Dunnavant, Sr. went home to be with Jesus at the age of 87. He served in the US Air Force from 1952-1957.  Devin returned to the family farm upon the death of his father and farmed the rest of his life. He loved the Lord and lived life to the fullest. Devin loved making people laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Elizabeth Dunnavant, his sister, Laura Turner (George).  Devin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanette, his children Berk (Patti), Beth Perez (Sky) and two grandchildren, Kristin and Kayla.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House, VA, with interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements.

    Our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. Devin was such a special man. I remember times when he would call us & disguise his voice to try to trick us. He had me going for a few minutes too. God will carry you through this. When we love someone they are always in our hearts. Let us know if there is anything we can do. We love you always.
