Clayton Harris Jordan, Jr., age 66, affectionally known by family as Junior or C.H., won his courageous battle with CLL/SLL and kidney cancer when he went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2023.  The eldest of four children of the late Clayton H. Jordan, Sr. and Letitia Bray Jordan. Clayton Jr. was a lifelong Christian who served the Lord with exemplary distinction by stewardship, salvation through service and community outreach.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Jackson Jordan; daughters Candace Dawn Jordan of Halifax and Cathy Leigh Landrum (Doug) of Lynchburg and stepdaughter Marsha Caudill Cale (Wilson) of Carrsville; grandchildren Colton Harris Landrum, Harper Lois Cale and Hunter Jeb Cale; siblings Desiree Jordan-Baird (Bill) of Randolph, Dennis Daniel (Sheila) of Loris, SC, and Yvette Burleson (Wade) of Elkton.  Clayton is also survived by nieces Samantha Hansen, Tanya Hansen Brennan (Thomas), Dana Hansen Smith (Michael), Jessica Daniel Jump (Michael), and nephew Jeremy Daniel (Julie); great-nieces Destiny and Faith Hansen and great-nephews Ja’Rell Brooks and Jaylon Hansen, whom he helped guide toward a Christian life.

Clayton was a Class A Licensed Electrical and Building Contractor, owner of Jordan’s Building and Specialty Services, serving customers throughout Virginia.  He was also an avid animal and nature enthusiast, hunter, fisherman and conservationist.

A celebration of life will be held at New Hope United Methodist Church, 6101 Scuffletown Rd., Randolph, VA 23962, at 2 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2023, with burial following immediately. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral in Keysville, VA on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
