Mr. Clyde Edward Shook, age 82, of Keysville, Virginia, passed on February 25, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side.
Mr. Shook was born on April 2, 1939, to the late Cullen Lee Shook and Hester Fox Shook. The youngest of ten, Clyde was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
A lifetime native of Keysville, Virginia, Clyde was happiest on a crabbing pier but was most often found on a construction project.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou St. John Shook; and their children, C.E. and Nancy Shook, Jeff and Suzanne Shook, Shannon Toombs, and Cameron and Andy Cary. The Shooks are blessed with grandchildren, Katie and Conner Morris, Blake and Emily Toombs, Gabi Shook, Kirkland Toombs, Austin Shook, Cullyn Cary, Colby Cary, Autumn Shook, Carter Cary and Calland Cary; and great-granddaughters Clara Toombs and Magnolia Morris.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, February 27th, 2022 at Concord Baptist Church at 2 PM in Charlotte Court House, Virginia with Reverend Ted Smith officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday, beginning at 12 PM at Browning- Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Virginia.
