David Conner Hall II, age 41, of Meherrin, VA, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Berry.

He is survived by his parents, David C. Hall Sr., and Sheila A. Hall; five children, Tabitha Hall Price and husband, Nathan, David Conner III, Ellieanna Hall, Riley Hall, and Damon Hall; three sisters, Carlene Hall Ray and husband, Brent, Marlene E. Bush, Amanda Hall Jones and husband, Arnold; one brother, Kenneth N. Hall and wife, Krista; twelve nieces and nephews, Cory Ray, Logan Ray, Lindsey Ray, Allen Tyler Blush, Jake Blush, Isabella Hall, Leah Hall, Kaitlyn Hall, Richard Jones, Tyrese Jones, Amiyah Jones, and Brennon Jones.

David took many wrong turns in life, but the one thing nobody could take from him was the fact he would do anything for anyone. He was always always always helping somebody with something. He was nowhere near perfect. He was perfectly imperfect. At the age of 41, he still never had his life figured out and it drove a lot of us crazy. But the man had a good heart and a lot of the time, that’s all he had to offer. If my brother ever did any work for you, cooked for you, fixed your vehicle, or even broke anything for you. I can promise you, that he did it with his heart. Because if he didn’t want to do something, believe me he wasn’t going to do it. And if he still did something for you when he didn’t want too, then you meant a whole lot to him. As hard as it’s been to process losing the closest sibling to me that I have, the one who would go to war with me if I needed him to, it’s been hell watching our mother break. I can’t answer her “why”? I can’t keep up with the amount of tears our mother has shed and I can’t soften her cries. No mother should ever have to bury their child. It’s been hell to see the hurt in his kids’ eyes knowing they lost their dad and they can’t have him back for just one more minute to give him the hug they wish they could. We all wish there was more time with him, because he was very hard to keep up with and contact. This pain will never ever ever go away, but we ask that each of you pray for our comfort and the ability to find peace in his passing. All we have now are the memories that we had together. I love you, David! I know you knew that.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2023, at Trinity Gospel Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA.  The family will receive friends at the church after the funeral service. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
