Dewey Page Fallen, 91, of Drakes Branch, VA. passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023. He was born on August 20,1932 to Henry Vest Fallen and Elsie Tuck Fallen. Dewey was raised by his father and Virginia Tharpe Fallen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Overstreet Fallen; two brothers, James “Jake” Fallen (Thelma Anderson), and Herman Fallen (Lois Bailey); and three sisters, Lucille Gee (David), Vicki Wingo (Early “Bootsie”), and Mary Hawley (Melvin).
Dewey is survived by his two sons, Donald P. Fallen (Brenda Walton) and David L. Fallen (Lorie Jordan); one brother, Stuart B. Fallen (Kathy Alexander).
He was a Graduate of Randolph-Henry High School and enlisted in the United States Navy where he spent four years. Dewey retired from Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company and was an avid baseball fan who loved the St. Louis Cardinals. He coached Youth baseball for over twenty years. Dewey was active in the Masonic Lodge for over fifty years.
Funeral services will be held at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 2 PM. The family would like to thank Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Rodney and Lynn!

He was best friends with my uncle Gilbert until he passed in 1973 and afterwards he was crucial in helping my grandparents deal with their grief! He will surely be missed. He was a great baseball coach. He and Jimmy Holt coached our boys and taught them the fundamentals of the game and always insisted the boys enjoy the game, win or lose.
