Diane Mae Nelson, age 80, of Charlotte Court House, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3rd, 2022. Diane was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 3, 1942 to George & Eleanor Davish.
She is survived by Mike Nelson, her husband of 44 years, her son Michael Esposito of Los Angeles, CA; and sister, Dottie (Art) Hayton of Willingboro, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Esposito; and brother, George Davish, Jr.
Diane had a strong love for God, family and her church. Diane’s passion for youth, life, and horses led to her and Mike to become a part of the Virginia High School Rodeo Association. They were able to have Sunday morning cowboy services with the Rodeo family before their events. She along with Mike felt very honored to be a part of this and it gave her great joy.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 11th at 10:00 a.m at New Life Church. (9 Mahan Road, Farmville, Virginia 23901) In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that a donation be given to: Virginia High School Rodeo Association, 259 Windmill Lane, Eagle Rock, VA 24085.

I am shocked and stunned that Diane is gone but comforted by the fact that when Mike found her in the kitchen that she had her arms stretched out and a big smile on her face. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord so I know she saw our Saviour and I will see my best friend again hopefully soon. Praying for you Mike.
