Donnie Lee Claytor, age 54, of Keysville, VA, was born on January 3, 1968 to the late Ronald Claytor Sr., and Doris Lacks. He went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2022, at VCU in Richmond, VA.

Donnie  leaves behind his wife, Rachel Claytor; special sister-in-law, Delores Claytor; two sons, Michael Claytor and Lance Claytor of Mecklenburg County, VA; one step-son, Christopher Seagle, Sr. (Jennifer); one step-daughter, Tanya Pryor; eight grandchildren, Michael Aaron “Meathead” Price, Abbygayle Seagle, Krista Seagle, Thomas Pryor, CJ Seagle, Anna Seagle, Justin Pryor, Payton Helms; two brothers, Russell Claytor Sr., and Ronald Claytor Jr., both of  Greenbay, VA; one half-brother, Randy Lacks; one sister, Wanda Claytor;  three special nephews, Russell Claytor, Jr., and Morgan Claytor, William Claytor; one special niece, Elizabeth Claytor;  a special cousin that was closer than a brother, Nelson Claytor;  a lifelong friend, Daryl King; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home .  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is respectfully serving the Claytor family.

    Donnie was one of my best friends back when we worked together at West Point Steven until I left there after 9 years then eventually losing touch with him for many years. He was truly a great friend to anyone and was always willing to help anyone work on something. I’m so sorry to hear the news and I now you are in gods hands now and your pain is gone my old friend god bless your family in this time

    I really liked Donny , a kinda fellow he was , always treated me good , I was working in the shop at the time when we all were over at old West Point , was quite a crew on those slashers , good folks like Donnie , pray for the family and friends of Donnie , he’ll never be forgotten , draw close to God , trust Jesus , make sure of your salvation , we to will travel the valley of shadow and death , heaven is real for all that find the way , God bless you all

    I’m truly sorry to hear of the families loss! Donnie was a great person and cousin! We all worked together at J.P.Stevens. Had fun there! that’s where we discovered we were family one night just talking. Donnie was a kind, and loving person! He will be missed! May God be with his children and close family during this time!
