Elizabeth Scott Amos, age 91, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Hawkins; her second husband, Averette D. Amos; and numerous other family members.

Elizabeth is survived by six children, Jerry Amos and wife, Pam, Joe Amos and wife, Sandy, Dave Hawkins and wife, Janice, Betty Fowler, Roy Hawkins, and Paul Hawkins and wife Wendy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Scott and wife, Pam, Donnie Scott and wife, Bonnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Cool Spring Christian Church Cemetery, Keysville.  The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. All other times at the home of Roy Hawkins, 408 King Street, Keysville, VA 23947.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Centra Hospice, 2097 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501, SPCA, 7352 Patrick Henry Highway, Meherrin, VA 23954, or the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, P O Box 330, Keysville, VA 23947. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
