Eva Robertson Barton, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2017. Eva was born to the late George and Mary Robertson and was a member of Holly Farms Baptist Church, Rice, VA. She will be remembered for her love of her Lord, life, and her family. Eva enjoyed gathering with family and friends and will be remembered for her spirited visits as well as for her remembrance of all with letters and cards.
Eva is survived by sons, George J. Barton (Sylvia) of Harlem, GA, Robert A. Barton (Anna) of Buckeye, AZ, Charles E. Barton (Anne) of Green Bay, J. Meak Barton (Linda) of Piney River, VA and H. Abner Barton of Green Bay; sisters, Mozelle Kubas of Ooltewah, TN and Dorothy Arvin (Charles) of Meherrin; and brother, Luther Robertson of Berkeley Springs, WV; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Meak Barton, daughter, Eva Evelyn Barton, and brothers, William Robertson, Robert Robertson, George Robertson, Newton Robertson and Odelle Robertson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2017, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, with interment to follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery, Green Bay, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Arrangements by Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, VA (www.browningduffer.com).
