
Janice Leatherwood Seagle, age 78, of Keysville, VA passed away peacefully to her Heavenly home, March 5, 2023. She was co-owner of Seagle Trucking, Inc., and through the years, was secretary/bookkeeper for Aileen, Inc. and Nelson’s Building Supply. She was known for her love of cats, adopting any stray that came her way, her latest being “Spankie”, her beloved cat and companion.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years: Ronald Calvin Seagle, her parents: Frank and Mary Leatherwood, sister; Lula Belle L. Berkley, brother; Clayton Leatherwood, and great-grandson, J.J.
Known lovingly as “Mama, “Nannie”, and “Nannie Jan”, she is survived by her children: daughter, Bonnie Seagle Parsons, son; Ronald Wesley Seagle; grandchildren; Brandie Parsons French and Jeff, Christopher Seagle and Jenny, Tanya Seagle, Benjamin Parsons, Holly Boyd and Justin; great-grandchildren; Bradley, Bailey, Berkley, Blaze, Cohyn, Coltyn, Abby, Christa, CJ, Thomas, Anna, Justin, Jaxson and Jason; sisters: Josephine L. Whirley, Elizabeth L. Lyles and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends. A public viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, VA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to “Sweet Virginia Barn Cats” of Clarksville, VA, or an animal shelter of your choice. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home of Keysville is serving the family.
