It is with my deepest sympathy that I extend my condolences to the family due to Jerry’s passing. I am truly going to miss him. Jerry called me V. He would wake up during the night and say. “V you alright?” I would answer him and he would go back to sleep.

Jerry put a smile on my face everyday when I came to work. Soon as I saw him I would say “Hey Jerry”!!! and Jerry would say “Hey there Finny”!!! Jerry gave me that nickname and I would get tickled when he would call me that. Jerry still holds a special place in my heart and always will. Jerry and I had a special bond. Until we meet again rest in peace.
Love Finny (Jacqueline Stokes)

Jerry, my special brother, I am going to miss you so much. When I would pick u I would ask where u want to go, he would say see Lina. He loved us all but Linda was so special to him. When we talked on the phone, I would say I love u, he would say love u to Fay, we know you are with Jesus. I will see you again someday. All my love.

Jerry was a good natured, good hearted and sweet person.
He loved his rings.
Every year he would get several watches. Lol. He loved those too.
See Jerry was a special type of person. He was born mentally retarded. I hate using that word but… it’s true. See, Jerry had the mind of a 4 or 5 year old.
He talked like a 3 year old, but he loved life.
He would call me Daya cause he couldn’t say Gail. He called my mom Linna cause he couldn’t say Linda. I love to hear him say “Hey Daya Dunn”
He loved to hug those he loved. He would hug so many times, one would have to say Jerry, that’s enough.
He loved his radio. You know the old fashioned type with the buttons to find stations.
Jerry, your life mattered and affected many lives.
I love and will miss you.
Jerry is with Jesus now. I know that.
I love you Jerry.
