Jimmy Roger Lacks age 77, of Red Oak, VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virgia Lacks; three brothers, Clarence Lacks, Frank Lacks, and Wayne Lacks; two sisters, Patricia Lacks and Doris Claytor; and a son-in-law, Marvin Paradis.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Barbara W. Lacks of Red Oak; two daughters, Melissa Paradis of Roxboro, Sharon Mosley and her husband, Calvin of Red Oak; one son, Jimmy Lacks, Jr. of Red Oak; five grandchildren, Cody Lloyd and wife, Amanda of New Mexico, Shelby Roberts and Husband, Jonathan of Red Oak, Marvin Paradis of Roxboro, Damarius Mosley and Skyler Cash of Red Oak, and Jordan Lacks of Halifax; three great-grandchildren, Riley Roberts, Kali Roberts, and Amari Mosley; one sister, Frances Bobadilla; sisters-in-law and brothers-in laws, Dutch and Ray Duffer of Keysville, Jenny and Otis Hazelwood of Saxe; Annette and Roger Wallace of Drakes Branch, and Joan Wallace of Drakes Branch; a host of nieces and nephews; and his dedicated friends at Function at The Junction fruit stand, Hazel Bowman-Smith, Linda Bowman, Glen Newton, Linda Guill-Smith, Ronnie Ferrell and Billy Flowers.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Public Fork Christian Church Cemetery, Red Oak. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
