Judge Lewis Stearnes, Jr., age 84, of Charlotte Court House, VA, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Trent Stearnes; his parents, Judge L Stearnes, Sr., and Martha Foster Stearnes; three brothers, Howard L. Stearnes, Clarence M. Stearnes and Nathan W. Stearnes; one sister, Nancy H. Jamerson; and a great-grandson, Treavor Estep. Judge is survived by three children, Spike Stearnes (MaryAnne) Tammy Silby (Jack), and Tressy Newbill (Jeff); six grandchildren, Richard Stearnes, Amanda Estep, Ashlie Shealy, Stacey Townsend, Kyle Stearnes, and Tyler Stearnes; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ollie E. Jamerson and Evelyn L. Stearnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020, at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randolph, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, on Friday, March 13, 2020, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Stearnes was a sweet man. My mom thought the world of your mom & dad. They were BOTH sweethearts when I worked with your mom; as a home health aide. I know they are both happy now that they are back together. You are all in our thoughts & prayers!
