Kenneth Grayson Clark of Farmville, VA went to his eternal home with the Lord Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Hodges Clark; his parents, Dudley and Johanna Clark; and his sister, Rachel Clarke.
Kenny is survived by his son, Kevin G. Clark and wife Sherry; his granddaughter (the apple of his eye) Jenna Clark Powell and husband Chris; two great-grandsons, Grayson Everett and Autry Clay Powell; and a loving and loyal companion Linda Locke. Linda’s daughter, Dana, along with her husband Jason, and their daughter Ruby, became part of Kenny’s family.
Born in Meherrin, VA, Kenny was a member of the Roy Clark Family and Friends band. The band traveled and played extensively, to include appearances at the Grand Ole Opry and on the television show, Hee Haw. Kenny began his adult career in the office machine repair business at Crute’s office supply in Farmville. He later worked at Combustion Engineering in Crewe, VA, then retired from the Town of Farmville Waste Treatment Plant.
Kenny never knew a stranger and was known and loved in the community by countless friends. He loved to kid around and carry on, but was serious in his commitment of caring and helping others, no matter who or what the need. Kenny was a long-time member of Heritage Baptist Church, where he served. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church children’s ministry or Eureka Baptist Church children’s ministry.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery, Meherrin, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.

Kenny was a dearly loved member of our family. I thought of him as a stepfather and my daughter considered him a grandfather. There are so many words that can be used to describe this wonderful man…considerate, loyal, talented, hardworking, funny, generous, gentlemanly…. Our time with him was a blessing and he will always be in our hearts! I also want to offer “thanks” to Kevin and his family for being gracious and kind to my mother. Our sympathies to you all for this immeasurable loss.

I met Kenny when he worked at Crutes and I was in Beauty School across the hall from him. When ever I was having a bad day, I could count on him to make me laugh. I know he will be missed by his family and friends. He is now out of pain and at rest. Will miss you my friend.

Kevin so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Kenny. Every Saturday we watched Hee Haw. Moving on to recent years, your dad and my sister were alone, they found each other and formed a great and loving friendship. My family and l were very happy for both of them.
