Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Powell, age 59, of Keysville, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Kenny is survived by his daughter, Katelyn E. Powell; his father, Carlton E. Powell; sister, Cindy Powell Mason; nephews, Ryan Mason, Jonathan Mason (Brittney), and Evan Mason; five great-nieces and one great-nephew.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margie D. Powell; and brother-in-law, Alan Mason.
Kenny was a loving, caring, and devoted Christian. He never met a stranger. Kenny was also willing to give a helping hand or words of encouragement and wisdom to his friends and family. Kenny enjoyed fishing and podcasting his YouTube channel about fishing and encouraging people.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Mt. Harmony Community Cemetery, Keysville, Va. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, P O Box 330, Keysville, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
