Marshall Wade “Lit” Tharpe, age 82, of Drakes Branch, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Tharpe; his sister, Joyce Tharpe Nichols; and two brothers, Curtis W. Tharpe, and Kermit David Tharpe.
“Lit” is survived by two children, Jeffrey W. Tharpe and Bonnie J. Tharpe; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tharpe and Braxton Tharpe; two brothers, James R. Tharpe (Ann), and Harold Tharpe (Margaret).
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2018, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home one hour prior to the funeral service. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
