Marvin was a true gentleman, always wearing a smile and always had a kind word, whether it was passing in the halls at Burlington or strolling around town. Will miss your smile, Marvin. Condolences to Faye and all those that loved Marvin.

Marvin was my dad’s best friend. They grew up together. They had many adventures. Phenix Presbyterian Church will miss him. He was the kindest man I have ever met.

I’m sad to read of Marvin’s death. I knew Marvin as we were students together at both Randolph Henry High School and Lynchburg College. I had a single college English class with Marvin and I remember him as a very bright and capable student. I have neither seen, nor heard from Marvin since our Lynchburg College graduation in 1965 but I wish to offer my condolence to Marvin’s family.
