Mary Harris Williams age 84, of Phenix, VA, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born on November 17, 1938 in Charlotte County to the late Walter Harris Sr., and Virginia R. Harris. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood North Williams, Sr.; eight brothers, Walter Harris Jr., Dalton Harris, Georgie Harris, Thedford Harris, and Claude Harris Sr., Garland Harris, Russell Harris, and James Harris.
Mary is survived by three sons, Walter Ray Williams and wife, Dorothy of Brookneal, VA, Kenneth Williams and wife, Peggy of Saxe, VA, Linwood Williams and wife, Beth of Harrisonburg, VA; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Coates of Lynchburg, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 12, 2023, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
