Mildred Kathryn “Kathy” Adams Meadows, 71, of Alton, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston. She was the loving and devoted wife of David “Dave” Thomas Meadows.
Kathy was born December 1, 1950 in Farmville, VA. She was the daughter of the late Clifford Adams and Florence Ashworth Adams. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne Adams and Tommy Adams.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Tammy Ownby of LaCrosse, VA; three sons, Steven Clark (Michele) of Evington, VA, David Clark (Karen) of South Hill, VA, and Tony Clark of NC; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Adams of Drakes Branch, VA, and Ric Adams (Cara) of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Debbie Morris (Phillip) of Rustburg, VA, Patricia Britt of Keysville,VA, and Angela Esatto (Ed) of Purcellville, VA; three step-daughters, Aileen Martz, Lee Meadows, and Jane Meadows all of Front Royal, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy retired from Annin Flagmakers, South Boston, VA. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, reading and crocheting.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 1-2 p.m. The Browning Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville,VA is assisting the family.
