Orving E. Clemins was born April 10, 1950, in Warriormines, WV, to the late BE and Gaynell Clemins; and ‘left the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God” on September 12, 2021.  Orving is survived by his wife of 44 years Diane T Clemins, of Charlotte Court House, VA; two daughters Delores Clemins Redenius (Alex) of Fort Wayne, IN, Whitney Clemins Napier (Eric) of Keysville, VA; three granddaughters, Claudia Cates, Delana Cates and Ansley Napier.

Orving, a lifelong member of the Republican Party and fierce supporter of the Trump Administration, proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict where he achieved the ranks of 7th MM Gunnery Battery Sergeant at 29 Palms, Corporal with the 1st Marine Corps Division, and received the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Orving’s family was his whole world and he loved nothing better than to tell stories and make people laugh. A private memorial service will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Woundedwarriorproject@supportwoundedwarriorproject.org

Uncle Orving was a true character and I feel blessed to have had him in my life for over 40 years. He was funny, kind, patriotic, and had that unique ability to make people feel important! Uncle Orving was an example to all in his love of family! His devotion to his children and his adoration of his grandchildren are examples to live by. His hardiness for life and his readiness for laughter will always be the memories I cherish of him! Godspeed!
