Patricia Armes Davis, age 83, of Brookneal, VA, formerly of Keysville, VA, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born on September 2, 1940, to the late Milton Armes Sr. and Pauline Green Armes. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Davis; and her brother, Mark Armes.
Patricia is survived by three children, Donna Pohl, James Davis Sr., and Sharon Cromer (Tommy); nine grandchildren, Mandy Wallace, Melissa Shepherd (Drew), Jessica Thompson, Rebecca Davis, Jonathan Davis, James Davis, Jr., Jesse Davis, Emily Davis, and Karen Edmondson; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Carbe (Victor); two brothers, Milton Armes Jr. (Jo), and Joe Armes (Molly); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a member of Keysville United Methodist Church. She was a longtime employee of the Doctor’s Hospital in Lanham, Maryland, as an emergency room registration clerk. After her retirement she worked at Steps, Inc., she loved working alongside special needs associates. Patricia loved to sew and make jewelry. She was a longtime contributor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA. The Reverend Dewey Barker will be officiating. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
