Bob retired from the United States Navy, after serving honorably for twenty years and continued to “serve” his family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand and always fighting for what he felt was right. Bob enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Having a cup of coffee with his buddies, going to auctions to find treasures, and watching the backyard wildlife feast and frolic brought many smiles to his face. Bob loved working outdoors, cultivating the greenest yard and the prettiest tomatoes around. He took great pride in all his ventures. Bob’s health battle was his toughest fight, but the victory was the sweetest.
The family with gather with friends for a memorial service on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 2 pm at Browning Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Virginia.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s death. He was kind and would always carry on a conversation when he saw you. He and Bee spent many hours talking tractors and motors. I’m sure he will be missed by all. Sending thoughts, love and prayers to you all.

Bob has a special place in my heart. He will live on in my memories of the wonderful conversations we shared of his world views and insights I hold dear. I love Ross dearly as well and may peace embrace her moving through this transition. It was my honor to serve him as his nurse. Blessed to have known him.
