
Robert L. Reynolds, age 78, passed away at home on Wednesday August 2,2023. He was the son of the late Norvell J. Reynolds and Mildred Evans Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his brother John Thomas Reynolds.
Robert is survived by his wife Cheryl M. Reynolds, his brother Jack W. Reynolds (Kary) and sisters, Betty R. Scruggs, Linda R. Burden and Barbara R. Sheffield.
After graduating from Randolph Henry High School, he served in the United States Army and Army National Guard for six years. He was owner/operator for 22 years of the Sears Catalog Store in Keysville. He worked for Thompson Insurance Agency and was top agent for American General Insurance for 3 years. He served over 30 years on the Charlotte Court House town council, planning commission and chairman of the zoning commission. His hobbies included farming, fishing and wood working. As a member of Drakes Branch Baptist Church, he served as a deacon and chairman of the Finance Committee.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Drakes Branch Baptist Church on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers consider donations to Charlotte County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 330 Keysville, VA 23947. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
