Shirley Joyce Shelton Tuck, age 86, of Randolph, VA went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hampton, VA and lived in Newport News in her early life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Louise Shelton Burt and William Curtis Shelton, Sr., and her siblings Birdie S. Redman, Curtis Shelton, Jr.,  Mildred S. McKinney, and Edna S. Perritt.  She was married for nearly 62 years to the late Walter Lee (Dollbaby) Tuck, Sr., and preceded by their late special poodle, Benji.  She retired from Burlington/J. P. Stevens – Westpoint Pepperell. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in the Scuffletown area of Randolph, VA.

She is survived by her six children, Brenda T. Driskill (Roger) of Phenix, Mary T. Hudson (Tuck) of Drakes Branch, Walter Lee Tuck, Jr. (Dianne) of Phenix, James S. Tuck (Joan) of Randolph, Raymond B. Tuck (Billie) of Randolph, and Ricky D. Tuck (Sharon) of Red House. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Jamie and Steven Driskill, Christy H. Lockridge, Jason Hudson, Jared Tuck, Stacey Montgomery, Jeremy Tuck, Hunter Tuck, Nick Tuck, Megan T. Reamer, and the late Shauna T. Saunders.  She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ainsley, Austin, Dalton, Mary Madison, Zack, Cayden, Ashton, Braxton, Bradyn, Sage, Saylor, Sawyer, and Wyatt.  She is survived by one brother-in-law, Richard Tuck; and two sisters-in-law, Daisy Pillow and Polly Tuck, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Katherine St. John and Shirley Nichols.

Shirley loved her family and loved her Lord. She can be remembered by her bright smile and loving nature to everyone she met.  She will be sorely missed by all.

Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service. The service will take place at New Hope United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 with interment to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor Philip Hong, her pastor. In lieu of flowers, you may give donations to the New Hope Cemetery Fund (mail to 161 Mossingford Road, Randolph, VA), the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, or a charity of your choice.  The family wishes to thank everyone for all their prayers.  The family is receiving visitors at the home of Shirley Tuck.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
