SSgt. Justin Raymond Wilmer, age 33, of Keysville, VA passed away on July 4, 2017. Born to David E. Wilmer and Ginger Marker Ward.  Justin was also love by two step-parents Hope Wilmer and Robert Ward.  He was in the Army National Guard where he proudly served his country.  Justin was a SSgt while working at Blackstone, VA as a military mechanic.  He was a Volunteer Firefighter for the Keysville Fire Department in which he loved all of his brothers and sisters.  Justin loved hunting, fishing and most importantly spending time with his sons, Jordan Henry Wilmer and Levi Robert Wilmer.  He also leaves behind one half- brother, Raymond T. Wilmer, one step- sister Jessica L. Manley, one step- brother, Steven Anthony Dunn.  Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Lotus Marker and Raymond “Sonny” and Isabelle Wilmer.  He had many friends and extended family the he loved dearly.  Justin never met a stranger and loved with all his heart.

 

The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 2 pm. Sunday, July, 9, 2017. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home.  Justin will take his last ride on a Keysville Volunteer Fire Truck to Cool Springs Christian Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with Military Honors.  A reception will be held at the Keysville Volunteer Fire Department following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Keysville Fire Department, Charlotte County Rescue Squad, and the Suicide Prevention life line.  Special thanks to everyone who love our son.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of the arrangements.

    David & Hope. May God’s loving arms wrap around you and your family as your prepare to say good bye to Justin. May your memories be of wonderful times and the life that Justin lead. I will surely miss seeing him coming into the PX at Ft Pickett.
