Anita Dale Stearnes

Anita Dale Stearnes, age 59, of Drakes Branch, VA, was born June 17, 1954, to the late John and Louise Harris. As an adult she married Nathan Womack Stearnes, Jr., during the fall of 1996. On January 31, 2014, our Father above called her home.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan Womack Stearnes, Jr.; two children, Thomas Ray Harris and Tammy Marie Harris of Richmond, VA; two brothers, John Harris and Garland Harris; sisters-in-law, Glennis Stearnes, Martha Stearnes, and Dorothy Stearnes; a mother-in-law, Stella Stearnes; a close cousin, Eva Stearnes; a close niece and primary caregiver, Joann S. Cliborne; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Salem Baptist Church in Madisonville, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
