Ann Tharpe Buchanan

Ann Tharpe Buchanan, age 84, of Appomattox, VA passed away Monday, April 6, 2020. She is survived by two sons, Edward D. “Buck” Buchanan and wife, Renie, Dale Buchanan and wife, Becky; a daughter, Cheryl Buchanan (Roger); a brother, Harry Tharpe, Jr. and his wife, Margaret; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.   Ann was preceded in death by her parents Harry R. Tharpe, Sr. and Helen Foster Tharpe; a daughter, Dianne B. Martin; and a brother, Harold Bruce “Jake” Tharpe.

A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2020 in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Lynn Royster, 1560 Lunenburg Hwy., Keysville, VA 23947.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
