Barbara Jean Watts

Barbara Jean Watts, age 70, of Clarksville, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was born on February 2, 1955 in Maryland. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Jody Watts.

Barbara was known to many as Mrs. Watts as she drove a bus for Mecklenburg County Public schools, a caregiver, a talented crocheter, her great-grandchildren’s number one fan, and a lover of all animals.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Janet Martin and her son-in-law, Joseph Martin; her step-daughter, Sherry Carver and her son-in-law, Steve Carver; her grandchildren, Eric, Katie, Jessica, Walker, Justin, Jonathan, and Jalen. Possibly her greatest surviving accomplishments in her life are her many great-grandchildren and beloved dog, Duke.

Following Barbara’s wishes, she will be cremated at Browning-Duffer Funeral Home with no formal service to follow. The family will accept family and friends at Janet’s home, 200 Wagon Wheel Lane, Saxe, VA 23967 from 4-6 on March 18, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lake Country SPCA in Barbara’s name. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements
