Chester Henry Kirstein Sr.

Chester Henry Kirstein, Sr., 90, of Meherrin, VA, went to sleep with the Lord on May 7, 2018. He was born in Meherrin, VA, to Amelia and Frank Kirstein. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Edith, his two older sisters, Alice Parks and Marjorie Bryant.  He is survived by his older brother, Frank (Ida) of Farmville, VA; his daughter, Kathy (Tom) of Ohio, his daughter, Gale (Chuck)) of Meherrin; his son, Chester, Jr. (Linda) of Maryland; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 2:30 p.m., in The St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Meherrin, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to The St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
