Daniel Burke Felker III, age 68, of Moseley, Virginia, formerly of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

At the age of 19, Daniel moved to Prince Edward County to attend Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville, Virginia, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Police Science. He went on to serve the Commonwealth of Virginia with dedication and integrity, retiring as a Lieutenant from the Virginia Department of Corrections after 28 years of service. Following retirement, Daniel raised tobacco from approximately 1980 to 2015 and later enjoyed working with Francisco Restoration Services, Inc. in Keysville, Virginia from 2015 to 2025.
Daniel was an active member of Briery Country Club in Keysville and served on its board for several years. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, generosity, patience, and gentle spirit—someone who always kept his word and brought a smile to others. A lifelong Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Daniel also enjoyed golf, all college football, NASCAR races (especially as a devoted Dale Earnhardt fan), traveling when time allowed, and dancing with his wife any chance he got.
Daniel was a devoted husband to his wife, Pat, and a loving father to Jason and Shannon. He taught his children the importance of hard work, loyalty, kindness, and cherishing life. He was a proud and dedicated grandfather to Caroline, Lincoln, Mason and Layton.
