Florence H. Copal

Florence H. Copal, age 92, of Saxe, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 28, 2019, after a brief illness. She was born November 24, 1926, in Clover, VA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Copal; her parents, Lucas E. Heath and Maggie Vassar Heath; and brothers, L. Garland Heath and Harvey E. Heath.

She is survived by her brother, Edwin D. Heath (Bonnie); devoted sister, Minnie H. Lindsey (Doug); her children, Stanley E. Cardwell (Karen), Nelson T. Cardwell (Vicki), and Janet C. Michael (John); four grandchildren, Kevin Cardwell, Kacie Cardwell, Chad Clifford, and Bryan Cardwell; and many nieces and nephews. Florence enjoyed being with her family and especially cooking for them.  Bird watching was another of her favorite past times.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019, in Saxe Cemetery, Saxe, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
