Geneva Townsend Dix

Geneva T. Dix, age 93, formally of Keysville, VA, passed away at Meadow View Terrace, Clarksville, VA, on Thursday, February 3, 2011. Ms. Dix is survived by two daughters, Charlotte D. Hicks, and Doris D. Hicks Raymond both of Keysville, VA; her sister, Margaret T. Moore Charlie of Ontario, VA, and her sister, Ruby Vides of Chicago, IL. Ms. Dix has seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest B. Dix, Sr.; her son, Earnest B. Dix, Jr. “June”; a daughter-in-law, Betty W. Dix; and a son-in-law, Willie T. Hicks.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 in the Ontario Christian Church Cemetery, Keysville, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
