Guy Douglas Wilkins, 88, of Meherrin, VA died on Thursday, September 15, 2016. He was born in Central City, KY on November 15, 1927 to Guy W. and Flonnie Louise Wilkins. Doug leaves behind a loving wife, Mary; a daughter, Catherine L. Tatem and her husband, John; two grandchildren, Cheryl and Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney and Austin. He had one brother who predeceased him on November 23, 2015. Doug loved hunting and fishing and was an avid fan of Country and Western Movies. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Meherrin, Va. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
