Harold Catron

Harold Catron, age 87, of Charlotte Court House, VA passed away on Wednesday January 7, 2026. He was born on April 12, 1938, in Bonnie Blue, VA to the late, Fred and Mae Catron. Harold was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Howard, Harvey, and Smith; and one sister, Jolene.

Harold is survived by his wife, Ellen Nelson Catron; three children, Walter Catron and wife, Roxanne, Tiffany Dempsey and husband, Ben; and Fred Catron; three grandchildren, Marissa Dempsey, Ella Catron and Aubrey Catron; and a sister, Maggie Moore of Richmond, IN.

Harold graduated from Lee High School and then he served his country in the United States Army. He then pursued a career with the Virginia Department of Corrections until his retirement.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Beulah Methodist Church Cemetery, Keysville, VA. The Reverend Charles Davis will be officiating. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
