James “Jamie” Edward Newcomb Iii

James “Jamie” Edward Newcomb, III, age 51, of Randolph, VA, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Carter Newcomb; a son, James “Jay” E. Newcomb, IV; a daughter, Katie Elizabeth Newcomb; his parents, J. E. and Elaine Newcomb, Jr.; a sister, Cathy Jo Newcomb Palmer and husband David.
Jamie was a tobacco farmer and worked for a number of years for Lewis Tree Service. He was a lifetime member of Hebron United Methodist Church. Jamie was a devoted grounds keeper for the cemetery and church yard.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Hebron United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Donations may be made to Hebron U. M. C. Cemetery Fund or The Barksdale Cancer Foundation. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
