Jewel Newman Dix

Jewel Newman Dix age 78, of Meherrin, VA, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011.
She is survived by two children, Susan Brown and husband Karl; Greg Dix and wife, Ginger; two grandchildren, Andrew Tatum, Tommy Dix, all of Meherrin, VA; two sisters, Mary Elder and husband, Carlton of Farmville, VA, Betty Mull and husband, Lloyd of Farmville, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Malcolm Dix, Jr.; her parents, James T. and Alma Jones Newman.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 5, 2011, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, with interment to follow in the Meherrin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Meherrin, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2011. The Browning-Duffer Funeral in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
