Lillian Davis Duffie, 85, of Chesterfield, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 27, 2025. Born on June 10, 1940, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, steadfast faith, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her three daughters Beth, Ellen and Michelle Lynn, and their faithful husbands, seven cherished grandchildren, three grandsons-in-law, one granddaughter-in-law, and two treasured “bonus” great-grandsons. She is also survived by her two loving sisters and a dear sister-in-law. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into each generation with unwavering love, encouragement, and prayer.
Beyond her devotion to family, Lillian built a successful career as a respected officer of a major bank, where her diligence, wisdom, and integrity earned the admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
In her later years, she faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s with courage and grace. Even as the disease took its toll, she never forgot her daughters, holding fast to the love that defined her life.
Though most recently a resident of Chesterfield, Lillian’s heart remained in Keysville, Virginia, where she retired and shared many happy years with her beloved husband, Bob Duffie, who preceded her in death in 2011.
A funeral service will be held at her cherished home church, Ash Camp Baptist Church in Keysville, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow in Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life, her faith, and the enduring legacy she leaves behind. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
Though deeply missed, her loved ones take comfort in knowing she now rests in perfect peace, held forever in the everlasting arms of Christ.
