Louis Burns Matze, age 74, of Keysville, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dixon Matze.
Louis is survived by his daughter, Brittany Rutledge (Timothy); daughter-in-law, Tammy Miller; mother-in-law, Marian E. Wilmouth; grandchildren, Jaythan Rutledge, Tiffany Lee, Jamie Brooke Bush, and Aiden Matze; and five great-grandchildren.
Louis was a retired Engineer from Jacobs. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2025, in Mt. Harmony Community Cemetery, Keysville, VA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
