Mary Bohannon Adams

Mary Bohannon Adams, age 82, of Drakes Branch, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Gerline Bohannon. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Clint Adams; a sister, Betty B. Jones; and two brothers, Joe "Kokomo" Bohannon and Jimmy Bohannon.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda A. Devin and husband, Tune; her son, Tim Adams and wife, Melissa; three grandchildren, Adam Devin (Marlee Moore), Travis Adams, and Tanner Adams; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and special lifelong friends.

Mary was a devoted, faithful, lifetime member of Drakes Branch Baptist Church. She loved her church family. She retired from Charlotte County Public Schools as Cafeteria Manager, overseeing the meal preparation for the children of Charlotte County for over thirty-five years.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday August 16, 2025 at Drakes Branch Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with interment to follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Barksdale Cancer Foundation, P O Box 225, Charlotte C. H., VA 23923 or Lebanon Church Cemetery Fund, P O Box 7, Drakes Branch, VA 23937. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
