Mrs. Mary Lee Morris

Mary Lee Morris, age 91, of Crewe, VA, passed away on January 18, 2021, in Lynchburg, VA, due to complications following a broken hip.

Mrs. Morris was born on April 14, 1929, in North Wilkesboro, NC, to her parents, Millard Fillmore Brooks and Ethel Blevins Brooks.  She married Julius Morris in 1953. The Morris’s moved to Crewe, VA, where they ran Morris Electronics.  Once retired, she dedicated her remaining time to educating and caring for her grandchildren.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her son, Rodney Morris of Lawrenceville, GA; and her daughter, Vicki Hecht of Gloucester, VA; her daughter, Juli Tompkins of Annapolis, MD; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Morris.

Mrs. Morris will be buried in a private ceremony on January 22, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Burkeville Fire Department. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
